Beginning A Choir/Praise Team

1. Size is not an issue.
2. Sing with your group if it is small.
3. Find a rehearsal time or several rehearsal times that are convenient to everyone.
4. Pray, Pray, Pray...after all, this is God's project.
5. Select the music.
6. Is this a service choir/praise team or for special events?
7. Plan times to sing.
8. Talk with your members through email, phone calls, snail mail (outside the rehearsal time).
9. Plan regular fellowship times outside the rehearsal times.
10. Plan a sharing and devotion time during the rehearsal.

Anyone have other ideas? Please feel free to share with all of us.

The Very First Post

Living in Montana is Great. Living for Jesus is even greater.
The Churches in Montana tend to be small with limited budgets. The music and worship areas tend to suffer with limited means of finding and purchasing materials and music. I would like to use this blog to help our churches as we prepare for worship week by week. I am a worship leader in a small church. I know the difficulty of searching and preparing week by week. As you read this blog, please feel free to leave a comment or suggestion of something that has worked for you, or perhaps a site on the web with helpful materials.
I look forward to hearing from you and sharing in the worship field.
